When we say that faith is basically 'trust' then we could say that everyone has some form of faith. We need to have faith (or trust) in the wires that take the lift to the sixth floor.
But the bible says that "not everyone has faith" (2 Thessalonians 3:2), that is a faith in the Living God.
And this faith can get knocked and bashed, or we can get blown off course by not having a proper grasp of what the Bible says.
How reliable is our conscience? Why all these horrible situations?
Here are some articles that will hopefully strengthen our personal faith:
Throughout history the Lord has always desired to have someone, or a group of people, or a nation, to be His people or spokesperson.
So very early on, He chose individuals, like Noah and Abraham, etc.
Then later He gave His Laws to Israel and He sent them prophets.
But what about the rest of mankind?
Are they excluded from God’s Kingdom…
“Why?” He asked with tears in his eyes. “I don’t deserve your compassion!”
The King looked down at his son lovingly and smiled. “When you know the answer to that question, you will be my son indeed!” and with that, brought the ceremony to an end.
Silently the son left his fathers court feeling somewhat confused.
Why had he shown such compassion to him…
If we believe in, and follow Jesus Christ, He expects us also to be holy. To be set apart from the people round about us. We cannot do this.
We need to rely upon Jesus Christ to make us acceptable to God.
We cannot make ourselves holy…
Is there such a thing as a ticket to get to heaven?
No, tickets are not allowed.
Can you pay at the door? No!
Jesus declared ‘I tell you the Truth, unless a man is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.’
By looking at this verse John 3 we could say that all places for heaven are reserved for family members only…
