2. Jesus’ ministry and titles
Jesus Christ came to the Earth with a purpose that he both fulfilled and continues to fulfil. This purpose can be split down into several roles or ‘ministries’ and can be given various titles, the most well known ones are: King, Prophet and Priest.
Jesus is the ‘King’ and why not, he was with the Father when everything was created.
The second title is ‘the’ Prophet because he reveals things about God.
The third title is ‘the’ High Priest and he was able to stand between the Holy God and humanity.
Jesus was obviously involved in fulfilling the justice of God, but he also enables acceptable worship and effective prayers.
